" I spent 23 years in the construction industry and
had all of the same problems that you are dealing with, although I had a
unique experience of having many responsibilities at the same time:
general management, head of project management / development, project
manager and
master scheduler all at the same time.
Our company was a fast track general contractor -
design builder that completed up to 55 million dollars per year of
construction in all
types and sizes of projects while maintaining a self performing
workforce of over 100 field workers for various trades.
We had several project managers and ran an average of
30 projects consecutively. I had to, out of my own necessity, develop a way to successfully
organize, plan and control these projects, hence the system was born.
Most people use scheduling as an exercise - not as a
tool - and do not
realize the potential to effectively plan and execute projects according
to a common plan.
I found a way to use Microsoft Project that
could be used at any level and for any purpose. Through the use of
scheduling templates and a universal system, I could gain insight and
control in a normally confusing process.
This insight led to the development of a scheduling
system that I packaged into the manuals that we offer. The
scheduling system and techniques can be used for single projects or as a
global system of scheduling across many projects. Using the same
structure of scheduling for your projects, you too can gain invaluable
information and planning tools that is not available without it.
I believe in the ability to successfully organize,
plan and control construction projects so much that I have devoted all
of my efforts on showing others how to do the same. It is also my
goal that each person that uses our products will gain the benefits that
we all crave.

of scheduling, our goals are the same;
